SMARTSET ® Load Intelligent sensor, embedded on the axle, that continuously measures and processes in real-time wheelset bending and torsional stresses in operation.
These data also provide valuable information regarding:
- The wheelset in-service stress history, analyzed through an algorithm named STARCRACK to obtain an optimal NDT inspection plan.
- The health status of the infrastructure, which can be analyzed by the infrastructure manager to plan preventive interventions.
